The inauguration event, held on 8 June, presented the new logistics hub: an infrastructure designed according to 5PL principles and with a capacity of up to 40,000 pallet positions, conceived to become an industrial accelerator and a driver of employment for the local area.
Ferentino (FR), 9 June 2026 – The new logistics hub in Ferentino, in the province of Frosinone, represents a strategic project for Central and Southern Italy and strengthens MVN’s operational presence in Lazio. The infrastructure was developed and built by Techbau S.p.A. on the site of the former Bonser plant, a historic industrial facility active in the textile sector. The project is part of Techbau’s strategy focused on identifying and redeveloping brownfield areas, with the aim of contributing to the regeneration of already urbanized sites and the recovery of disused building stock.
With a total surface area of approximately 89,000 square metres, of which around 43,000 are covered, and a capacity of up to 40,000 pallet positions, the project is positioned as a high-potential platform for the local and national supply chain. The project has obtained LEED Gold certification, confirming the attention given to the environmental sustainability criteria adopted in its development. To complete the project, a new roundabout serving the area will be built, with the investment fully supported by Techbau and without being offset against urbanization charges. The road infrastructure is designed to improve site accessibility and make the management of inbound and outbound flows more efficient.
The structure was designed by Techbau to meet MVN’s needs and support the evolution of volumes over time, establishing itself as an industrial and employment accelerator for the entire region. In this context, the Ferentino hub reflects MVN’s positioning as a 5PL (Fifth-Party Logistics) operator, capable of integrating strategic planning, technology and global operational management.
In today’s supply chain landscape, efficiency does not depend solely on the technical and dimensional specifications of a warehouse, but on the ability to engineer its processes.
Within the new logistics hub, approximately 33,000 square metres are already dedicated to ABB in support of its Frosinone plant, one of the most significant sites worldwide in the Electrification business. Thanks to this state-of-the-art infrastructure, ABB’s production site will be able to increase its operational capacity, enabling it to respond effectively to rapidly expanding market trends. This is a strategic choice that strengthens the supply chain and enables sustainable long-term growth, further consolidating the role of the Frosinone site as a global reference point for ABB.
The inauguration event represented an important moment for the local area and its production system, with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, together with representatives of national and local institutions, including Hon. Massimo Ruspandini, Regional Councillor Pasquale Ciacciarelli, Hon. Giorgio Simeoni, Hon. Daniele Maura, the Mayor of Ferentino Piergianni Fiorletta and Prof. Raffaele Trequattrini for the Industrial Consortium of Lazio.
Confirming the significance of the operation, MVN stated in a note:
“The Ferentino facility is MVN’s flagship: thanks to the seamless integration of factory processes through Just-in-Sequence management, it confirms its role as the client’s true production arm. This hub is ahead of its time and ensures the highest standards in terms of operational capacity, logistics efficiency and service quality required by an industry leader. Developed in coordination with the other two compartments, this module has been calibrated to support future growth, with a particular focus on safety, flow organization and the quality of the industrial solutions implemented.”
Flexibility and modularity are therefore confirmed as key elements for the logistics of the future. The Ferentino hub, supported by MVN’s other two compartments, has been designed to support the evolution of activities over time. This logistics architecture enables the MSC Group company to absorb potential operational increases, dynamically and safely supporting future expansion plans and the business flows of its partners.
The project confirms a shared vision between Techbau and MVN, based on construction quality, innovation, attention to the local context and the ability to generate long-term value. This approach has enabled the enhancement of a high-potential strategic area and the development of an infrastructure capable of strengthening the competitiveness of the local economy.
