Biomethane Plants

We are developing, on behalf of Retina, a network of biomethane plants across Lazio, Campania, Molise and Puglia. The project is designed to help remove nitrates from the soil through biomethane production, while also making use of agricultural and livestock by-products. These are converted into biomethane and natural fertilisers, supporting resource recovery and a circular economy model. Once fully operational, each plant will have a biomethane production capacity of approximately 500 Smc/h. The project follows an approach guided by ESG principles, with a focus on plant efficiency and decarbonisation. At present, the programme includes the construction of 20 plants: 5 in Lazio, 12 in Campania, 1 in Molise and 2 in Puglia.
